2003-2011

« previous | 7 of 16 | next »

Originally conceived in 2003 for a solo exhibition at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City, "The Attenders" consists of more than 5 million feet of monofilament wire (fishing line). It was acquired by the Progressive Corporation in 2004 for their permanent collection and reconfigured over the years, evolving from its original location in their Phoenix, Arizona call center to its present location shown here in the entrance of their Tampa, Florida call center.

The installation is now comprised of over 75 component sculptures ranging in length from 4’ to 25’ hanging in a 600 square foot lobby with a 50' ceiling.

Monofilament line, cage clips, floral and electrical wire.
